Case Study for St. Petersburg Downtown Business Association

The St. Petersburg Downtown Business Association is a non profit organization that has been focused on creating solutions for business, culture, and community since 1973.

Its primary focus is supporting retail and restaurants downtown. Although there has been lots of progress in downtown St Pete, the DBA members felt like their city still had a ways to go, and not quite sure they were doing everything they could to get it there.

They also knew that other cities have found creative ways to deal with issues like panhandling and bringing business into the hearts of their cities. They organization not only needed an updated website, they needed a way for members to communicate and share ideas, collect membership dues, and add value to their membership. The solution was to use a custom designed WordPress blog.

There is a section that collectively displays member’s logos that link to an entire page about their business or organization. The blog section is divided by subjects about St Petersburg and cities in general. There is a membership application and a PayPal link.
